Recipe: Hot Toddy
Our Hot Toddy is a winter warmer that’s easy to make at home.
Stop by our Gutenberg tasting room in downtown Hermann to pick up a bottle of our Rye or Blackberry Whiskey (or both!) to create the infused spirit that is the base of the drink. All of the other ingredients are probably in your kitchen at home. Cheers!
Black Shire Hot Toddy
Yield: 1 hot cocktail
1 Tbsp brown sugar (or more or less depending on your preference)
1.5 oz cinnamon-infused Black Shire Rye or Black Shire Blackberry Whiskey (recipe below)

very hot water
lemon slice, to garnish (press cloves into the lemon for additional aroma if you wish)
Using a mug or other heat-proof glass, add the brown sugar. Pour cinnamon-infused spirit of your choice on top and stir. Squeeze lemon into mug and add hot water. Stir to dissolve sugar and serve with lemon slice.

2 cinnamon sticks
